About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Oncology Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care and supporting our patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of patients with cancer, providing information and support to enable them to make informed choices about their care.
  • Work closely with Consultants, medical and nursing staff, and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.
  • Develop and implement care packages for specialist groups of patients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they receive the best possible care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals, using sensitive and respectful language to clarify understanding.
  • Liaise with other Specialist Nurses, Consultants, GPs, and other members of the MDT to ensure seamless care for our patients.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with post-registration qualifications relevant to the specialty, and significant post-registration experience, including some in a position relevant to the specialty. You must be able to perform clinical skills relevant to the specialty, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to provide high-quality patient-centered care.
