Immunotherapy Clinical Nurse Specialist

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the specialist immunotherapy service, working closely with Oncology consultants, clinical nurse specialists, and consultant practitioners.
Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of patients, delivering high-quality, clinically effective care, and prioritizing research in everyday practice.
The ideal candidate will be an autonomous practitioner with the ability to influence patient care and service provision, exercising levels of judgement, discretion, and decision-making in treatment of immunotherapy.
As an independent non-medical prescriber, the successful candidate will promote best practice and deliver coordinated quality cancer care to patients and their families.
They will also participate in education and training for immunotherapy, working across organizations to promote cancer care and ensure an integrated approach to care management.
The role requires the successful candidate to be the lead for immunotherapy management across the Trust, developing the immunotherapy service and improving patient experience in the specialist area.
They will also be responsible for immunotherapy education and training, demonstrating advanced clinical competence and autonomy while working with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
The successful candidate will assess, manage, deliver, and coordinate the plan of care for patients, utilizing the effective and efficient use of resources.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration and a Post-Registration Specialist Qualification.
They will have experience in Oncology and Haematology, as well as previous experience of working as a specialist nurse.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate NNUH's PRIDE values of People-focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence.
