About the position:

This role is based at the Victim Support office, with travel expected throughout the region.

As the Crime Victim Services Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the provision of outstanding services to victims of crime while managing and supporting operational staff to retain and develop service contracts
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager and management team to implement workforce plans and enhance service development for optimal outcomes
  • Actively promoting the service, raising awareness, and working alongside professionals to improve access to and quality of services

You will require:

  • A solid understanding of the criminal justice system and the effects of crime on victims and witnesses
  • Knowledge of legislation regarding equal opportunities, diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding, and risk assessments
  • Practical experience in maintaining confidentiality and safe working practices, along with record-keeping in compliance with legal requirements
  • Experience in a dynamic and challenging environment with a strong emphasis on customer service and excellence in service delivery
  • Proven ability to provide crisis management, support, and guidance in high-pressure situations with a client-focused approach
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, both written and verbal, when engaging with various agencies and individuals.
