Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at HTE Recruitment. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and taking charge of a section when required.

About the Role:

  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Take charge of a section of the kitchen, including cooking, plating, and presentation
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
  • Develop and maintain a passion for local, seasonal produce and promote this to junior chefs
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Passion for local, seasonal produce and ability to promote this to junior chefs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
