Position Overview

The Clinical Endoscopy Specialist plays a pivotal role in the management and leadership of the endoscopy unit. This position requires the ability to foster strong collaborations with department heads to enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will assist the Endoscopy Lead in overseeing unit operations while ensuring adherence to all regulatory and Ramsay Health Care UK quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the theatre staff effectively.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with departmental leaders to promote operational excellence.
  • Support the Endoscopy Lead in unit management, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and policies.
  • Participate in clinically focused initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experiences.
  • Experience with JAG accreditation is advantageous but not mandatory.

The Clinical Endoscopy Specialist will also assist in maintaining JAG Accreditation and improving departmental efficiency through various roles, including auditing, staff training, and equipment service management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong clinical background in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Professional Registration with the NMC/HCPC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in an endoscopy unit.
