About the position:
This role is based at our office and will require travel within the designated area. As a Youth Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of self-referrals or referred clients, providing outstanding services that align with the goals of our commissioners.
  • Ensuring each client receives tailored support and information that meets their individual needs, with a focus on addressing complex requirements.
  • Conducting risk and needs assessments to identify the specific needs of clients in accordance with our operational procedures, while adhering to safeguarding policies and collaborating with other agencies.
  • Offering information and advocacy to assist clients in navigating the criminal justice system and ensuring their rights are upheld in line with established guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people who experience adversity or crime
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and safe working practices, in compliance with safeguarding and data protection laws
  • Demonstrated experience working with children or young people, or with individuals affected by domestic abuse
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to suit different audiences
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands in an organized manner
  • Strong IT and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • High resilience and capability to perform under pressure
