Job Description

Job Title: Education Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Specialist to join our team at Learning Curve Group. As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with additional learning needs, providing structured support and promoting access to learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a class and/or outdoor setting
  • Develop and implement effective interventions to aid access to learning experiences
  • Collaborate with teachers to make necessary adjustments for learners with learning support needs
  • Update and maintain accurate records of learner progress and support plans
  • Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and external agencies to ensure the well-being and personal development of learners
  • Contribute to the development of learner-centered support plans and annual reviews
  • Foster positive relationships with learners, parents, and external agencies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with learners with SEN
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Knowledge and experience of working with learners with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Empathy and patience when working with learners with SEN
