Contract Position
Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Management Officer to oversee operations at our designated site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage portering tasks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs across all facilities. Identify and report any premises-related issues or equipment malfunctions through the facilities management helpdesk as necessary.
- Execute daily operational tasks as outlined in the facilities team task management system, including room setups, resource requests, water system flushing, and alarm testing.
- Oversee the collection and distribution of incoming correspondence, packages, and deliveries, ensuring secure handling of all items, particularly those of a confidential nature, in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service in alignment with the Facilities Management service standards to visitors and staff alike. Conduct regular maintenance inspections throughout the facilities, performing minor repairs as needed and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with the facilities team leader and/or facilities manager regarding repairs, order necessary equipment, supervise contractors, and ensure all maintenance work meets quality standards.
- Coordinate with the corporate facilities management regulatory team via the helpdesk for repairs under their jurisdiction. Ensure that heating and ventilation systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform daily checks on boiler systems as required.
- Receive and transport supplies and materials to various facilities as needed. Assist with general duties in communal areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of both internal and external grounds at all times. Manage parking effectively within facility premises.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in performing minor repairs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage positively with the public.
- Experience in maintaining building security and acting as a secure key holder.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance.
- Familiarity with heating and ventilation systems.
- Basic DIY skills and the capability to execute them when necessary.
- Understanding of security protocols related to facilities.
- Awareness of waste management and basic pest control practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently when required.
- Composed under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal abilities.
