Role Overview

Position: Female Care Assistant – Drivers Required

Eligibility: Must reside in the UK and possess the Right to Work.

Employment Location: Seaford, East Sussex

Annual Salary: £23,400 plus additional benefits. Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours, with a flexible shift pattern from Monday to Sunday. Shift Patterns: Morning and evening shifts available, covering the entire week. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Position.

A valid UK Driving Licence is mandatory for this position.

Who Will You Be Assisting?

The dedicated team at Barclay House provides support to individuals residing in a specially designed residential facility tailored for adults with diverse disabilities, including visual impairments.

The residence is situated in a pleasant neighborhood, conveniently located near local amenities. Our team is committed to delivering personalized support aimed at enhancing each individual's quality of life, focusing on expanding their opportunities and aspirations.

Responsibilities of a Care Assistant:

Promote and assist with individual care requirements, helping individuals acquire new skills. Act as an advocate for those you support, with opportunities to become a keyworker after training. Collaborate with Senior Support Workers and management to conduct person-centered reviews. Maintain daily records, support plans, health action plans, and other administrative duties. Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to assist individuals with medical appointments. Provide support with personal care, laundry, meal preparation, and medication management. Build relationships with those you support, helping them lead fulfilling lives according to their preferences. Take personal accountability for the quality of care provided to individuals. Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to safeguarding principles to protect those we support. Assist individuals in planning and achieving both short-term and long-term goals. Organize and encourage participation in activities, including social events and skill development. Support individuals in managing personal affairs, including appointments. Collaborate with individuals, families, and advocates to ensure a unified approach, respecting dignity and equality. Uphold the values of SeeAbility in all interactions.

Previous experience in social care is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
