About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SeeAbility. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to maintain and improve each person's quality of life, including increasing opportunities and aspirations.
  • Assist with personal care, laundry, meal preparation, medication, and administration, while promoting a safe working environment and understanding the principles of safeguarding.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Support Workers and Deputy Manager to hold person-centered reviews and update daily records, support plans, and health action plans.
  • Assist with medical appointments, personal affairs, and social engagements, while promoting a culture of respect, dignity, equality, and equity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of each person are met.
Requirements
  • Hold a UK manual driving license and be willing to drive other vehicles.
  • Be empathetic, caring, and compassionate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Be committed to continuous learning and growth, with a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Be able to commit to 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work a rota system covering 7 days a week, including early and late shifts and alternative weekend working.
