About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Barclay House, a residential home for adults with disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Support residents in developing and achieving their personal goals and aspirations.
- Participate in person-centered reviews and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
- Work collaboratively with the senior support team and deputy manager to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Update daily records, support plans, and health action plans to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for residents, promoting their rights and dignity.
Requirements:
- Hold a UK manual driving license and be willing to drive other vehicles.
- Be empathetic, caring, and compassionate, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
- Be an enthusiastic team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and residents.
- Hold the right to work in the UK.
- Be willing to commit to 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work a rota system covering 7 days a week, including early and late shifts.
