Job Title: Support Worker

SeeAbility is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Applewood, a residential home for adults with disabilities in Seaford, East Sussex.

About the Role

We are looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and visual impairments. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our residents to lead valued and fulfilled lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to residents with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and visual impairments.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support residents with their goals and aspirations, promoting independence and empowerment.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Hold a UK driving licence and be willing to use the company vehicle.
  • Have experience working with individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and visual impairments.
  • Be able to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a caring nature.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be flexible and willing to work a shift rota, including evenings and weekends.
