Job Title: Support Worker

SeeAbility is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Applewood, a residential home for adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and visual impairments.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to lead valued and fulfilled lives. You will work closely with our team to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes independence, confidence, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to residents, respecting their individual needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support residents with their daily routines, including medication management, mobility, and communication.
  • Encourage and promote independence, self-advocacy, and decision-making skills.
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute to care planning, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Hold a UK driving license and be willing to use the company vehicle.
  • Have demonstrable experience or knowledge supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, or visual impairments.
  • Be able to demonstrate empathy, a caring, and compassionate nature.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be flexible, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
