Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, including health and safety, membership, and event management.
- Oversee team management at the departmental level, focusing on revenue generation from events and hotel bookings.
- Manage food and beverage operations within our main event space, including hotel breakfast services.
- Occasionally oversee high-volume outdoor events.
Accountabilities:
- Engage with customers regarding product offerings and revenue generation.
Support Responsibilities:
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience and manage the overall financial performance of the club.
Consultation Areas:
- Pricing, packages, and future event planning.
Informed Areas:
- Administrative support and general office tasks.
Job Purpose: Lead the events team in the design, management, and execution of events that exceed customer expectations, adhere to quality standards, achieve targets, and maximize overall revenue.
Job Tasks/Duties:
- Design, manage, and coordinate events, including functions, conferences, and social gatherings, from initial inquiry to booking.
- Collaborate with the Club General Manager/Club Director to identify new business opportunities and convert them into revenue.
- Promote the venue within the corporate marketplace, developing structured outreach plans with marketing support.
- Manage the Events Manager and team, proactively planning and developing sales and marketing strategies.
- Research competitors to enhance our business strategies and capture market share.
- Follow up on events to assess client satisfaction and address feedback professionally.
- Administer charges and payments for services provided during events.
- Implement and uphold the company's Health & Safety Policy.
- Ensure all events are booked and managed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with various managers to plan and promote club-based and external events.
- Manage and coordinate the main event space, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Provide capital requests for necessary equipment and recommend facility improvements.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
- Approve staffing and scheduling plans in collaboration with relevant managers.
- Ensure adherence to revenue and cost control procedures.
- Plan and approve marketing and sales promotion activities for events.
- Work closely with central support on menu items and pricing.
- Attend departmental meetings and complete additional assignments as required.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the company's CARE values.
- Support feedback initiatives related to the department.
- Perform duty management shifts as needed.
Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field (event planning, catering, group sales, etc.) is preferred, along with relevant skills and experience.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- CPR, First Aid, or AED certification.
