Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, including health and safety, membership, and event management.
- Oversee food and beverage operations within the Dorchester Suite, including hotel breakfast services.
- Manage high-volume outdoor events as required.
Accountability:
- Engage with customers regarding product offerings and revenue generation.
Support:
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences and manage the overall profitability of the club.
Consultation:
- Involved in pricing, packages, and future event planning.
Job Purpose: Lead the events team in the design, management, and execution of events, ensuring we exceed customer expectations, meet quality standards, and maximize revenue.
Key Duties:
- Design and manage events from initial inquiry to booking, coordinating with relevant departments to meet client requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with management to convert inquiries into revenue.
- Promote the venue to attract new business, supported by central marketing initiatives.
- Manage the events team, focusing on proactive planning and developing tailored sales strategies.
- Analyze competitors to enhance our business strategies and capture market share.
- Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and address any feedback.
- Handle financial transactions related to events and liaise with the Accounts department.
- Implement health and safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Utilize the Bright Lime system for event bookings and administration.
- Collaborate with various departments to plan and execute club-based and external events.
- Develop promotions and activities to engage members and guests.
- Coordinate with the Dorchester Suites to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage capital requests for necessary equipment and recommend facility improvements.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
- Ensure adherence to revenue and cost control procedures.
- Plan and approve marketing and sales activities for club events.
- Participate in departmental meetings and complete assigned sales tasks.
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the company's CARE values.
- Assist with departmental feedback initiatives.
- Perform duty management shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (event planning, catering, sales, etc.) is preferred.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- CPR, First Aid, or AED certification.
