Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, including health and safety, membership, and event management.
  • Oversee food and beverage operations, including hotel breakfast and high-volume outdoor events.
Accountability:
  • Customer engagement regarding product offerings and revenue management.
Support:
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and manage overall profitability.
Consultation:
  • Pricing, packages, and future event planning.
Informed On:
  • Administrative support and general office tasks.
Job Purpose: Lead the events team in the design, management, and execution of events that exceed customer expectations while meeting quality standards and maximizing revenue.

Collaborate with senior management to ensure the successful delivery of events and to encourage repeat business.

Key Duties:
  • Design and manage events from initial inquiry to execution, ensuring alignment with client requirements and budget.
  • Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with management to convert inquiries into revenue.
  • Promote the venue within the corporate market, utilizing marketing support to attract new business.
  • Manage the events team and develop strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze competitors to enhance business strategies and capture market share.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and address any feedback.
  • Administer financial transactions related to events and liaise with the Accounts department.
  • Enforce health and safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize event management systems to streamline bookings and operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to plan and promote club events.
  • Manage the Dorchester Suites, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment needs and facility improvements.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and sales reporting.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
  • Approve staffing and scheduling plans in collaboration with management.
  • Ensure adherence to revenue and cost control procedures.
  • Plan and approve marketing activities for special events.
  • Collaborate on menu development and pricing strategies.
  • Attend departmental meetings and complete additional assignments as required.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company's core values.
  • Support feedback initiatives within the department.
  • Perform duty management shifts as needed.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with applicable skills and experience.

Licenses and Special Requirements:
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
