Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, including health and safety regulations, membership management, and event coordination.
  • Oversee team management at the departmental level, focusing on revenue generation from events and hotel bookings.
  • Manage food and beverage services within our event spaces, including breakfast operations.
  • Engage with customers regarding product offerings and revenue targets.
  • Support the delivery of outstanding customer experiences and oversee the overall financial performance of the club.

Job Purpose

Lead the events team in the planning, management, and execution of events for The Club Company, aiming to exceed client expectations, uphold quality standards, achieve financial targets, and maximize overall revenue.

Key Duties:

  • Design, manage, and coordinate various events, including functions and conferences, from initial inquiry to booking, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with senior management to convert leads into revenue.
  • Promote the venue within the corporate sector, utilizing marketing support to attract new business.
  • Manage the Events Manager and team, proactively developing sales and marketing strategies for future business.
  • Conduct competitor research to enhance our business strategies and capture market share.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to assess satisfaction and address any feedback or concerns.
  • Administer financial transactions related to events and coordinate with the Accounts department.
  • Implement and uphold the company's health and safety policies.
  • Ensure all events are booked and managed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to plan and execute club-based and external events.
  • Develop promotional activities to engage members and guests.
  • Coordinate with the management team to ensure high-quality service delivery during events.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment needs and facility improvements.
  • Oversee cash handling and reporting procedures within the event operations.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and complete additional assignments as directed.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Act as a positive representative of the company's CARE values.

Qualifications and Experience:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (event planning, catering, group sales, etc.) is preferred, along with applicable skills and experience.

Licenses and Special Requirements:

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
