Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, including health and safety, membership, and event management.
  • Oversee team management at the departmental level, focusing on revenue generation from events and hotel bookings.
  • Drive business growth through marketing initiatives and effective management of food and beverage operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Engage with customers regarding product offerings and manage revenue from recurring sales targets.
  • Support the delivery of an outstanding customer experience and oversee the overall financial performance of the club.

Consultation and Communication:

  • Consult on pricing, packages, and future events.
  • Stay informed on administrative support and general office tasks.

Job Purpose:

Lead the events team in the planning, management, and execution of events for The Club Company, consistently exceeding customer expectations, adhering to quality standards, achieving targets, and maximizing revenue.

Key Duties:

  • Design, manage, and organize various events, from initial inquiries to final bookings, coordinating with relevant department heads to meet client requirements.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with the Club General Manager/Club Director to convert leads into revenue.
  • Promote the venue within the corporate marketplace, developing outreach plans to attract new business.
  • Manage the Events Manager and team, proactively planning and creating tailored sales and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct competitor research to enhance event sales and marketing strategies, ensuring a competitive edge.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to assess satisfaction and address any feedback or complaints professionally.
  • Administer financial transactions related to events and liaise with the Accounts department as necessary.
  • Implement and uphold the company's Health & Safety Policy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure all events are booked and managed according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with various managers to promote and organize club-based and external events.
  • Develop ongoing promotions and activities to stimulate interest and registrations among members and guests.
  • Coordinate with the Dorchester Suites team to ensure high-quality service delivery during events.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment needs and facility renovations.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and financial reporting within the Dorchester bars.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control.
  • Assist in planning marketing and sales promotion activities for the department.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and complete additional assignments as directed.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene in accordance with company policies.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the company's CARE values.
  • Support the Feed-It-Back initiative related to the department.
  • Perform duty management shifts as required.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (event planning, catering, group sales, etc.) is preferred, along with applicable skills and experience.

Licenses and Special Requirements:

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
