Senior Financial Controls Manager

Job Summary:
Oxford BioMedica (UK) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controls Manager to drive the financial control framework across our global business. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of financial controls, IT general controls, and data interrogation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Continual Monitoring of Financial Control Framework: Ensure the Group's financial control framework is resilient, proportionate, and effective across our global locations (UK, US, and France).
- Proportionate Oversight: Ensure second- and first-line financial controls are in place across the Group.
- Investigation and Review: Lead the investigation, review, and recommendations following a material error, omission of evidence, or lack of oversight with regards to key financial controls across the Group.
- Liaison with Stakeholders: Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the Board is in a position to make the required risk and internal controls declarations.
- Liaison with External Auditors: Liaise with external auditors to assist their understanding of the ICFR ahead of the annual and interim audit process and work with them to ensure appropriate documentation is in place to allow timely closure between visits.
- Risk Management: Coordinate risk management forums across OXB.
- Reporting: Own the Audit Committee Report and principal risk sections of the Annual Report.
Requirements:
- Education: Educated to Degree level in Finance or Science, or hold the equivalent level of work experience.
- Qualifications: Qualified to CA, ACCA, or ACA, or equivalent.
- Experience: Detailed knowledge and understanding of financial controls, IT general controls, and data interrogation techniques.
- Skills: Demonstrable experience in deploying and designing risk-based, commercially proportionate financial controls.
- Understanding: Ability to understand the financial reporting and processes in a complex business environment.
