About the Role
As Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the group accounting function, engage with senior stakeholders, and lead a dedicated finance team. Your role will be integral to maintaining financial control standards, driving consistency across the group, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with UK GAAP (FRS102).
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development and improvement of finance policies and manuals to ensure consistent financial control standards.
- Collaborating closely with the CFO and senior finance team members to review and analyse rolling forecasts of profit/loss and cash flows.
- Reviewing and approving all month-end reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial systems.
- Leading the budgeting process, particularly regarding staff costs and overheads.
- Managing the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for the Board and Senior Management team.
- Overseeing the preparation of statutory and group management reporting, ensuring tax compliance across all legal entities, including intra-group arrangements.
- Managing group and entity cash and cash flow positions, including forecasting.
- Leading the Financial Accounting team, covering Group/Regional Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in complex, large company group environments. You should have a proven ability to influence change and possess strong team management skills. This role requires someone who can ensure financial control and drive the group's financial strategy forward.
