Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Director, the Senior Financial Manager is responsible for delivering precise, timely, and dependable monthly management accounts, drafting annual statutory accounts, cash forecasts, and other management information as required. This role ensures that the finance department effectively supports and integrates with operational and commercial functions.
In this capacity, you will oversee a small finance team and enhance the company's financial systems, providing troubleshooting support for users, conducting system testing during upgrades, and ensuring compliance changes are met. You will also be tasked with producing monthly management accounts in line with established timelines. Additionally, you will prepare draft statutory accounts complete with supporting schedules and collaborate with auditors to facilitate an efficient year-end process. Key responsibilities include the preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns, as well as the preparation and monitoring of daily and weekly cash forecasts, ensuring bank reconciliations are consistently updated.
As the Senior Financial Manager, you will generate reports for monthly commercial meetings, manage forecasting and budgeting processes, and ensure timely issuance of sales invoices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong IT skills related to accounting systems, along with proven experience in developing management reporting systems and processes. You should possess the ability to cultivate relationships across various functions and effectively manage a small finance team. A keen commercial awareness, attention to detail, and a high level of drive and determination are essential for success in this role.
