Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our client, a well-established and successful privately owned medium-sized business. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely, and reliable financial information to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, draft annual statutory accounts, and cash forecasts to the Group FD and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial systems and processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage a small finance team and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of financial functions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including VAT returns and year-end processes.
  • Prepare and present reports for commercial meetings, including sales invoices and cash forecasts.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with excellent IT skills and experience of developing management reporting systems.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and manage a small team within finance.
  • High level of drive and determination.
