Role Overview
As a Senior Financial Manager, you will report directly to the Group Finance Director. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver precise, timely, and dependable monthly management accounts, draft annual statutory financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and other essential management information as required. You will ensure that the finance department collaborates effectively with operational and commercial teams.
In this role, you will oversee a small finance team and enhance the company’s financial systems while providing troubleshooting support for users. You will also conduct system testing during upgrades and compliance changes, and produce monthly management accounts according to the established timetable. Furthermore, you will prepare draft statutory accounts along with supporting schedules and coordinate with auditors to facilitate an efficient year-end process. Key responsibilities include the preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns, daily and weekly cash flow forecasts, and maintaining up-to-date bank reconciliations.
As the Senior Financial Manager, you will compile reports for monthly commercial meetings, manage forecasting and budgeting processes, and ensure timely issuance of sales invoices.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong IT skills related to accounting systems and proven experience in developing management reporting systems and processes. You should possess the ability to foster relationships across various functions and manage a small finance team effectively. A keen commercial awareness, attention to detail, and a high level of motivation and determination are essential.
