The Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel is recruiting for a Financial Controller. We are dedicated to offering a welcoming environment for our guests while maintaining efficient operations. We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage our financial activities and support the continued success of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Ensure that financial records are accurate and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget. Monitor financial performance against the budget, providing regular updates to the management team.
  • Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to ensure the hotel operates efficiently. Regularly review expenses and identify areas where savings can be achieved.
  • Payroll Management: Supervise payroll processing, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management. Ensure that all reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor the hotel's cash flow to ensure there is adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations. Implement strategies to manage and optimise cash flow.
  • Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Ensure the hotel's financial practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to provide financial insights and support for their operations. Assist in decision-making by providing accurate financial information.
  • System Management: Maintain and update the financial management systems used by the hotel. Ensure all systems are used effectively and staff are properly trained. Troo Benefits
