Senior Cardiac Physiologist | Full Time | Cardiff | Free Parking

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to become a vital part of our expert team at Spire Healthcare Ltd.

In this role, you will collaborate with esteemed consultants in the field, supporting the Cardiology Manager to uphold exceptional standards of cardiology care for all patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, our Cardiology Ward, and Outpatient Cardiology Department.

Spire Healthcare Ltd offers a comprehensive array of cardiology services and cardiac surgical procedures in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as an independent practitioner within a cohesive team, delivering an efficient service with a focus on high-quality care.
  • Conduct a full spectrum of routine diagnostic assessments performed within the department, including specialized procedures.
  • Prepare the Cardiac catheterization theatre and outpatient cardiology suite for various procedures.
  • Oversee Cardiology clinical governance in partnership with the senior management team.
  • Act as a deputy for the manager as an advanced practitioner.
  • Support all cardiology functions within the hospital.
  • Adhere to Spire policies and procedures, particularly regarding Health and Safety, COSHH, Incident Reporting, and Data Protection.
  • Ensure Clinical Governance and risk management are integral to daily practices.
  • Perform any additional duties that reasonably align with the responsibilities of the position.

Candidate Profile:

BSc in Cardiac Physiology or an equivalent qualification.

  • We seek candidates with BHRS or IBHRE accreditation, enabling them to work independently as proficient Physiologists.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in handling a diverse range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Cardiology to provide direct, high-quality patient care.
  • Expertise in one of the following specialized areas: Complex device therapy and/or Electrophysiology.
  • Current ILS certification.

Work Schedule: Full Time - Monday to Sunday, with some evenings and participation in an on-call rota from Monday to Friday. Flexibility is available, with no current on-call duties or evening shifts.
