We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to become a vital part of our dedicated team at Spire Healthcare Ltd.

In this role, you will collaborate with leading consultants in the field, supporting the Cardiology Manager to ensure that exceptional standards of cardiology care are provided to all patients across various departments, including the Cardiac Cath Lab and Outpatient Cardiology.

Spire Healthcare Ltd is renowned for offering a complete spectrum of cardiology services and surgical interventions in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as an independent practitioner within a multidisciplinary team, delivering a high-quality and efficient service.
  • Conduct a comprehensive array of routine diagnostic tests and specialized procedures within the department.
  • Prepare the Cardiac catheterization lab and outpatient cardiology suite for various procedures.
  • Oversee clinical governance in collaboration with the senior management team.
  • Act as a deputy for the Cardiology Manager when required.
  • Support all cardiology-related functions within the facility.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly regarding Health and Safety, COSHH, Incident Reporting, and Data Protection.
  • Ensure that Clinical Governance and risk management are integral to daily operations.
  • Perform any additional duties that align with the responsibilities of the position.

Candidate Profile:

A BSc in Cardiac Physiology or an equivalent qualification is essential.

  • We seek candidates with BHRS or IBHRE accreditation, enabling them to work autonomously as proficient Physiologists.
  • Experience in managing a diverse range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures is required.
  • Possess advanced knowledge and skills in Cardiology to provide direct, high-quality patient care.
  • Expertise in one of the following specialized areas: Complex device therapy or Electrophysiology.
  • Current ILS certification is necessary.

Working Hours: Full Time - Flexible schedule, including some evenings and participation in an on-call rota from Monday to Friday.
