About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Spire Cardiff Hospital. As an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality cardiology care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as an independent practitioner within a team to deliver an effective and efficient service with high standards of care.
  • Perform a full range of routine diagnostic procedures, including highly specialized procedures.
  • Prepare operating Cardiac catheter theatre/outpatient cardiology suite for procedures.
  • Responsible for Cardiology clinical governance in conjunction with the senior management team.
  • Deputize for the manager as an advanced practitioner.
  • Support all cardiology functions within the hospital.
  • Comply with Spire policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, COSSH, Incidents Reporting, and the Data Protection Act.
  • Embed Clinical Governance and risk management in daily practice.

Requirements

  • BSc Cardiac Physiology or equivalent.
  • BHRS or IBHRE accreditation required to work without supervision as a competent Physiologist.
  • Ability and experience to cover a wide range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Cardiology for direct and high-quality care.
  • Specialist areas of work: Complex device therapy and/or EPS.
  • ILS.
