About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Cardiac Physiology Department, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Cardiac Device Therapy, Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Non-Invasive Diagnostics services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients undergoing complex invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Lead and participate in physiologist-led clinics, including Palpitations Clinic, Valve Screening Clinic, and Cardiac Device follow-up clinics
  • Develop and implement high-level skills and qualifications within Cardiac Device, Cardiac Catheter Lab, Electrophysiology, and Non-Invasive Services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • IBHRE or BHRS certification or currently working towards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Leadership and teaching skills
  • Autonomous practice and decision-making skills
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 4 in Leadership/Management or willingness to work towards
  • Experience in complex device therapy and/or electrophysiology
  • Ability to speak Welsh
