Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Cardiac Physiology Department, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Cardiac Device Therapy, Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Non-Invasive Diagnostics services.

Main Duties

As an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in a wide range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures, including the implantation of injectable loop recorders and the management of cardiac device follow-up clinics. You will also have the opportunity to work in physiologist-led clinics, including the Palpitations Clinic, Valve Screening Clinic, and Cardiac Device follow-up clinics.

Person Specification

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • IBHRE or BHRS or currently working towards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Exhibits good leadership skills
  • Proven record of teaching and supervision of other staff
  • Evidence of autonomous practice
