Job Summary

Advanced Cardiac Physiologist | Full Time | Cardiff | Free Parking

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Spire Cardiff Hospital. As a key member of our Cardiology Department, you will work alongside our team of experts to deliver high-quality cardiology care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of diagnostic procedures, including complex invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Prepare operating Cardiac catheter theatre/outpatient cardiology suite for procedures
  • Responsible for Cardiology clinical governance in conjunction with the senior management team
  • Deputise for the manager as an advanced practitioner
  • Support all cardiology functions within the hospital
  • Comply with Spire policies/procedures and in particular, issues relating to Health and Safety, COSSH, Incidents Reporting and the Data Protection Act
  • Ensure Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice

Requirements

  • BSc Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
  • BHRS or IBHRE accreditation required to work without supervision as a competent Physiologist
  • Advanced knowledge/skills in Cardiology for direct and high-quality care
  • Experience in complex device therapy and/or EPS
  • ILS
