Advanced Cardiac Physiologist | Full Time | Cardiff | Free Parking
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Spire Cardiff Hospital.
As an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist, you will work alongside our team of experts to deliver high-quality cardiology care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiology Ward, and Outpatient Cardiology Department.
Spire Cardiff Hospital provides a comprehensive range of cardiology procedures and cardiac surgeries in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To work as an independent practitioner within a team, delivering an effective and efficient service with high standards of care.
- To perform a full range of routine diagnostic procedures, including highly specialized procedures.
- To prepare the operating Cardiac catheter theatre/outpatient cardiology suite for procedures.
- To be responsible for Cardiology clinical governance in conjunction with the senior management team.
- To deputize for the manager as an advanced practitioner.
- To perform duties supporting all cardiology functions within the hospital.
- To comply with Spire policies/procedures and in particular, issues relating to Health and Safety, COSSH, Incidents Reporting, and the Data Protection Act.
- To ensure that Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice.
- To carry out any other duty that reasonably falls within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post.

Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc Cardiac Physiology or equivalent.
- BHRS or IBHRE accreditation required to work without supervision as a competent Physiologist.
- Ability and experience to cover a wide range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Advanced knowledge/skills in Cardiology for direct and high-quality care.
- One of the following specialist areas of work: Complex device therapy and/or EPS.
- ILS.
Working Hours and Contract:
Full Time, Monday to Sunday, with some evenings and participation in an on-call rota (Monday to Friday, flexible, no on-call at the moment, although possible in the future, no evenings work).
Permanent contract.
