About the Role

Leader Recruitment Group is seeking dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistants to support students in SEND schools across Bradford. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people facing various educational and social challenges.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Visual and hearing impairment, EBD, Learning difficulties, and challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement tailored learning plans and create a supportive classroom environment.
  • Assist students in developing essential life skills, social-emotional regulation, and academic progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working with children or young people, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviors or requiring additional support.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the evolving needs of students within a dynamic learning environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children.
