The Role: Floating Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floating Support Worker to join our dynamic mental health team in Bradford. As a Floating Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to live independently and achieve their goals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to service users in their own homes or other settings.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as completing housing benefit forms, grocery shopping, or managing finances.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans in collaboration with service users.
  • Build trusting therapeutic relationships with service users based on empathy and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the service user's care.

Essential Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A supportive, proactive, and responsible approach to work.
  • Strong motivation and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to listen attentively and understand individual needs.
  • Experience in the care and support sector is preferred but not essential.
