About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Liaison Specialist to join our team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Older People's Mental Health Liaison Service, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in acute Trust ward areas and Care Home settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource clinician, providing support and clinical advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure the implementation of all Trust Policies and Procedures, promoting clinical excellence and best practice.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare staff.
  • Assess and manage complex mental health issues, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on mental health care and treatment options.
  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and control of resources, ensuring effective use of resources and services.
  • Ensure that care delivery is in accordance with relevant professional guidance and current legislation.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant setting.
  • Proven track record of continued professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
