Role Requirements

Due to the nature of this position, a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated nursing associate to enhance our Neighbourhood nursing team, delivering comprehensive, person-centered care as delegated within your competency level to patients and their families in their residences.

The service operates daily from 7am to 7pm, and flexibility in working hours is expected. The role includes treatment, guidance, and education within the professional scope of practice. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care and be proactive in contributing to local strategies and service enhancements. Our diverse community presents a variety of healthcare challenges that are both complex and fulfilling.

This role may require working on weekends and certain public holidays.

Essential Qualifications

  • Foundation degree in health and social care
  • Nursing associate qualification
  • Nursing associate registration with the NMC
  • Care Certificate
  • Relevant short courses at diploma level

Experience and Skills

  • Prior experience in a health or social care environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Capability to operate independently
  • Experience in community health settings
  • Standard IT skills, including word processing and internet usage
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment principles
  • Ability to understand and execute a range of delegated clinical tasks
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills
  • Experience in phlebotomy, wound care, pressure area care, and catheter care
