Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.

Our expanding neonatal nursing team is under the guidance of our Head of Nursing for Children and Young People, a role that ensures high-quality care for infants and their families across our services. Here, you will continuously learn and enhance your skills to stay current in your practice.

All of our employees, whether in substantive or fixed-term roles, enjoy a variety of benefits, including access to a gym, a comprehensive health and wellbeing program, an on-site nursery, and a cycle-to-work scheme.

We actively seek to attract, recruit, and retain top talent and encourage applications from under-represented groups to support our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce.

All staff at Medway adhere to the Trust's and the Kent and Medway Safeguarding Board's policies regarding the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Job Responsibilities

We are a busy District General Hospital (DGH) serving the Medway and Swale populations. Our children's emergency department sees over 30,000 annual visits from infants, children, and young people in the local area.

You will receive support from Clinical Nurse Educators, Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, and Governance Managers, alongside a friendly multidisciplinary team and a corporate training and development team. We offer in-house leadership programs and collaborate with various universities to facilitate your academic and career progression.
