We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Charge Nurse / Clinical Sister who is passionate about delivering the Best of Care by the Best People. This role is vital in ensuring that our Trust remains the preferred choice for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

As a Neonatal Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative environment focused on exceptional neonatal care. We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic neonatal nurse (RGN/RSCN/Child Branch) with advanced neonatal intensive care training to join our supportive and skilled team. Strong clinical and communication abilities are essential.

Our expanding neonatal nursing team is led by a Head of Nursing for Children and Young People, ensuring that infants and their families receive outstanding care across our services. You will have continuous opportunities for learning and professional development to keep your skills current.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • RN1/RN2/RN12 or RN Child Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
  • BSc / 1st degree (health-related) or equivalent qualification/training/experience.
  • Specialist Neonatal Qualification.
  • Mentorship/teaching qualification.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Knowledge

  • Expertise in Neonatal Intensive Care cases and interventions.
  • Understanding of Family Integrated Care and BFI.
  • Familiarity with neonatal EPR systems such as Badgernet.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate specialized care for patients and provide relevant advice to families.
  • Competence in administering prescribed medications, including blood transfusions and blood products.
