About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong clinical leadership skills, supporting and empowering others in pursuit of a shared vision to ensure the effective management of the ward / department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe working environment.
- Deputise for the Senior Sister / Senior Charge Nurse, assisting in the establishment of an efficient working environment and making effective use of staff, supplies, and services.
- Coordinate the day-to-day management of the clinical area, delegating duties and care appropriately while maintaining overall responsibility.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- RN1/RN2/RN12 or RN Child Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
- BSc / 1st degree (health related) or equivalent qualification / training / experience.
- Specialist Neonatal Qualification.
- Mentorship / teaching qualification.
Desirable Experience
- Proven experience in managing a ward, including management of rotas, managing competencies, resources, and staff.
- Experience of teaching / assessing / supervising others in a clinical setting.
- Substantial experience in neonatal intensive care nursing.
