Guaranteed working hours are 48 hours per week, subject to location and schedule. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with the option for additional hours as needed. Participation in the on-call rota is required. The shift pattern consists of 7 days on followed by 3 days off, then another 7 days on and 3 days off, concluding with 4 days on and 4 days off. This arrangement allows for only 2 weekends of work each month. A flexible working approach is essential, as travel may be necessary.

Chevron Traffic Management specializes in establishing temporary road or lane closures, diversion routes, and pedestrian pathways to ensure the safety of road workers and users during construction activities. This includes the deployment of road cones, signage, temporary traffic signals, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. Our operations are visible nationwide. Role Overview for Traffic Management Specialist

This is an excellent time to join Chevron Traffic Management as a Traffic Management Specialist. We are experiencing unprecedented growth, and we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and dismantling temporary traffic management systems, including the deployment of cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment on low-speed roads.
  • Conducting traffic counts, communicating with clients and subcontractors, and documenting timings and near misses.
  • Maintaining temporary traffic signals.
  • Assisting and mentoring new trainees.

Ideal Candidate Profile for Traffic Management Specialist:

  • Minimum qualification of SLG Unit 2.
  • Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
  • Physically fit and capable of passing a safety-critical worker medical assessment.
  • Possession of a full UK Driving Licence, with restrictions on points applicable for insurance purposes.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.
