You will be guaranteed 48 hours of work per week, subject to location and scheduling. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with the option for additional overtime as needed. Participation in the on-call rota is also required. The shift pattern consists of 7 days on followed by 3 days off, then another 7 days on and 3 days off, concluding with 4 days on and 4 days off, allowing you to work only 2 weekends each month.

A flexible working approach is essential, as travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities of a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative:

The 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative plays a crucial role in our operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting traffic counts, communicating with clients and subcontractors, tracking timings, and reporting near misses.
  • Maintaining temporary traffic signals.
  • Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment, including cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other tools.
  • Assisting and mentoring new trainees.

Qualifications for a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative:

  • SLG Unit 2 or M1/M2 qualification as a minimum requirement.
  • 12d Lantra qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
  • Valid driving license with no more than 6 penalty points; any driving bans must have been lifted for at least 5 years.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening, as your offer will depend on the results.
  • Exhibit a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility.
  • Possess meticulous attention to detail.
