Join Our Team as a Housing Support Officer
We are pleased to announce a permanent position for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with exceptional administrative and interpersonal skills.
The role of Housing Support Officer involves assisting our clients with grants for home modifications and adaptation procedures, while providing essential information and guidance to promote independent living. This includes conducting home assessments, directing clients to appropriate resources, and completing necessary documentation for support plans and financial assistance.
Our dedicated Home Improvement and Support team operates within the community to deliver advice and practical solutions, enabling residents to maintain safety and independence in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to aid clients in completing applications for home modification grants and loans.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of client information into our database, adhering to service specifications and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with external organizations, including local councils and contractors, for joint assessments and case reviews.
- Assist in processing invoices and managing financial tasks as required.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and complaints from clients, ensuring a high standard of service.
- Promote equality and diversity within the workplace and community.
- Maintain compliance with data protection regulations and ensure the integrity of personal information.
- Participate in training and staff meetings as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Good educational background, including GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills are essential.
