RAN Project Operations Manager (Telecommunications)

Contract Position - Hybrid Work Environment

The Service Transformation and Delivery division is tasked with overseeing a significant decommissioning initiative aimed at shutting down and dismantling numerous sites within a condensed timeframe.

This initiative is executed through partnerships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Principal Contractors (PCs), and Small Works Contractors (SWCs). We are in search of a Project Operations Manager to facilitate these efforts.

This role involves managing a high volume of site deliveries under considerable pressure, addressing landlord concerns, and handling out-of-scope sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful delivery of network site infrastructure in accordance with design and health, safety, quality, and assurance (HSQA) standards.
  • Oversee the daily operations of suppliers and third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations regarding time, cost, and quality.
  • Conduct direct interventions to assess underperformance, implement recovery strategies, and closely monitor the restoration of delivery performance.
  • Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, meetings, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish site lists, delivery timelines, and budgetary considerations.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to drive project delivery across various organizational departments and third-party suppliers.
  • Exhibit substantial experience in delivering projects within a structured governance framework.
  • Possess a solid understanding of telecommunications processes and interdepartmental dependencies.
  • Have knowledge of various functional deliverables including acquisition, RAN, TX, and deployment.
  • Bring experience in telecommunications deployment and the ability to manage deliveries in accordance with established governance and processes.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing significant volume deliveries and project finances, engaging with relevant departments.
