About the Role

Project People is seeking an experienced Operational Site Manager to lead our Planned, Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme and site operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional results and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • PPM Programme Management: Own and proactively manage the delivery of the PPM programme, ensuring it meets contractual obligations and industry benchmarks.
  • Site Operations Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of site operations, including direct intervention to identify root causes of service underperformance and instigating recovery initiatives.
  • Assurance and Approval: Be accountable for the assurance and approval of detailed plans for the management of PPM, ensuring they align with service requirements and business outcomes.
  • Supplier Management: Work with our supplier ecosystem to ensure sites are maintained in a safe and compliant way, while maintaining the longevity of assets.
  • Commercial Management: Collaborate with our Commercial Management Team to achieve agreed business outcomes and performance targets.
Requirements
  • Strong PPM Experience: Proven experience of establishing, developing, and leading a PPM function to achieve agreed business outcomes and performance targets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of methodologies, processes, and capabilities required to deliver best-in-class technical and business services.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong experience of managing, motivating, monitoring, and improving performance of contractors and suppliers.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build deep, effective relationships and an appreciation of organisational politics, with the ability to socialise and influence stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Experience of working with, briefing, and influencing senior members of leadership teams, as well as managing the natural tensions between customer, commercial, and technical requirements.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience of bringing industry best practice into an organisation and using this to drive continuous improvement, as well as knowledge of how to lead and manage high-performance teams.

  • Remote Team Management: Experience of managing remotely located, cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong safety, quality, and compliance knowledge of mobile or fixed network technologies.
  • JV Experience: Experience of working in or with a JV organisation.
