The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our esteemed client's permanent staff team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs, working closely with classroom teachers to implement individualized lesson plans.
  • Offer one-on-one and small group guidance both within the classroom and in dedicated learning spaces, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere for each student.
  • Contribute to the creation of a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique requirements of every student.
  • Support students' social and emotional development through positive interactions, encouragement, and tailored interventions.
  • Assist with classroom management strategies, ensuring a structured and supportive learning environment for all.
  • Prepare engaging learning materials and resources, adapting them to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress closely, providing constructive feedback to teachers and parents, contributing to the ongoing assessment and development of each student.
  • Participate actively in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.

Requirements

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent recognized certification.
  • Possess demonstrable experience working effectively with children who have special educational needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for their well-being and academic progress.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
