Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom educator in implementing customized educational plans for students with special educational needs.
- Provide individualized and small group assistance to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive atmosphere for learning.
- Facilitate the social and emotional growth of students.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining order.
- Help prepare educational materials and resources.
- Track and document students' progress, offering feedback to educators and families.
- Engage in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with SEN.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Basic knowledge of child development and educational strategies.
- Flexibility to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with specific SEN strategies and interventions.
- Familiarity with relevant educational technology and software.
- First Aid certification.
