POSITION: FULL-TIME SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS (SEN) TEACHING ASSISTANTS

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a Partnership School that is eager to expand its team by hiring three full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants.

With two decades of expertise in the UK recruitment sector, we recognize the significance of identifying the ideal candidates who can offer essential support to our students.

We are in search of individuals who possess a solid understanding of SEN and are located in or near the specified area.

As this role may necessitate travel to the Partnership School, applicants should have access to reliable transportation. For those in surrounding regions, please check the provided information for travel times.

This is a full-time role, operating from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday during term time. We are currently welcoming applications for immediate starts or for positions commencing after a suitable notice period.

Relevant professional or personal experience in SEN is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in various educational settings, including classrooms and community environments, to facilitate their learning and development across the curriculum.
  • Support and empower students with diverse needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), complex medical conditions, and autism, to help them achieve their educational and personal objectives.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and the rights of students, ensuring they are treated with respect and recognized as learners.
  • Focus on providing support and empowerment for students.
  • Enhance understanding of Special Education issues while upholding the school's values.
  • Deliver high-quality assistance in all aspects of the role.
  • Engage in physical intervention and personal care routines, if necessary.
