Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a 1:1 SEN Specialist, you will provide invaluable support to our pupils, empowering them to achieve their educational and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community, to aid their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum.
  • Empower and support pupils with a range of needs, such as PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
  • Place emphasis on support and empowerment for our pupils.
  • Promote a greater understanding of Special Education issues and uphold the school ethos.
  • Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
  • Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines, if required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional or personal experience in SEN is required for this role.
  • Ability to provide support in various learning contexts.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and its impact on pupils.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
