We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Porter to join our team at one of our independent schools based in Workshop S80.

Wilson Vale is a leading contract caterer that values great food as a key part of our culture and community. We work with amazing clients across the UK, providing high-end catering services in office restaurants, independent schools, and conference venues.

This is a permanent role working weeks of the year, Monday to Friday on a rota basis. We are looking for a positive, honest, and reliable individual to join our friendly and hardworking team.

We offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate. Our benefits include a full breakfast offer, lunch, and dinner, as well as catering for functions at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Be responsible for general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, emptying bins, and general cleaning
  • Have responsibility for working in a tidy and organized way
  • Be highly organized and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment
  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene and follow health and safety rules
  • Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
  • Have excellent customer service and social skills
  • Be responsible for checking off and putting away deliveries and general stock takes
  • Have a can-do attitude and work well as part of a team
  • Be customer-focused
  • Have basic food knowledge
  • Be willing to participate and enjoy working as part of the team
