Role Overview

As a Territory Sales Representative, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager and engage in a comprehensive sales cycle. You will manage a portfolio of existing clients with an annual spend of £2-£3M while focusing on acquiring new clients, aiming for an annual target exceeding £150k in new business revenue. Balancing your attention between these two aspects will be essential for achieving commercial objectives. Building strong relationships with key decision-makers across various accounts will be vital, as you assess needs and present innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan for your territory to maximize sales and ensure high standards of customer service.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Ensure meticulous sales administration, utilizing CRM (MS Dynamics) to track leads, inquiries, and quotes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, particularly sales coordinators, to deliver exceptional service to customers.
  • Adopt a consultative sales approach, tailoring solutions to meet client needs while maintaining a strong understanding of all packaging products.
  • Proactively seek potential new clients and convert these opportunities into increased business.
  • Conduct cold calls as necessary within your market to build a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Network effectively to meet potential clients and leverage relationships.
  • Identify key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Plan and deliver effective sales presentations and pitches.
  • Achieve assigned yearly and monthly sales targets.

Candidate Profile

We are eager to connect with experienced B2B sales professionals with a minimum of 2 years in field-based sales. You should possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships through excellent communication and influencing abilities. Your background should demonstrate a commitment to delivering value to customers through solution selling.

Integrity in sales is paramount; you should have a proven track record of meeting sales targets and delighting customers. A valid UK driving license is essential, and residing within the designated territory is preferred. Experience in logistics or supply chain solutions, as well as other distribution sectors (packaging, consumables, PPE, etc.), will be advantageous.

Most importantly, you should have recent B2B field sales experience, showcasing impressive performance, including success in new business acquisition. A willingness to learn about our business and sector, along with comfort in a technical, solution-oriented sales approach, is crucial. Proficiency in CRM systems (Dynamics) and MS Office is also necessary.
