Position Overview

As a Transformation Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing change initiatives, focusing on reducing resistance and enhancing stakeholder engagement. Your primary objective will be to drive successful outcomes through proficient change management practices and the adept application of both established and innovative change methodologies. You will report directly to the Head of the Program Management Office (PMO) and will be tasked with managing the comprehensive Change Portfolio for the UK Defence sector, in partnership with Sector Leader Sponsors and the Head of PMO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the UK Sector Change Portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of individual business cases, ensuring projects and programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders at senior leadership levels, ensuring effective communication across the organization.
  • Ensure that program members adhere to the Business Management System and functional competency management requirements, with appropriate personal objectives documented in the performance management system.
  • Address conflicts and prioritization challenges within the portfolio while collaborating effectively across the organization.
  • Champion the integration of improvements within the project and program management functions, in alignment with the Head of PMO and the Programme Excellence team.

This is a full-time role that offers hybrid working arrangements, requiring travel to various sites on a regular basis.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven capability at the International Project Management Association Level A.
  • Extensive experience in leading business operations, projects, programs, or portfolios, with a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives.
  • Experience in spearheading transformation change programs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MSP Practitioner certification.
  • MoP Practitioner certification is advantageous.
